Post by Michal SafarMy dominant account stopped connecting to the server, and I can no longer send mail from it. I get the error message "ERR {SYS/TEMP}Server error - please try again later" I have other accounts on the same server that are working just fine. All of the server settings are the same and none appear to have been corrupted. Any suggestions?
Enable full logging (you may need to pull in the esoteric plugin for
that), including all bytes sent/received. Attempt to send a fresh email...
Shutdown Eudora and open the log file in a text editor, and study the
connection attempt in the log.
Google search shows this message primarily for POP3 (receiving) not
SMTP (sending). Also indicates that it may be a corrupt message. You don't
specify the provider -- Google has AOL/Verizon, BT Internet, GMAIL, and
Yahoo/ATT reporting that message.
Best recommendation -- contact your provider (or check via webmail if
they provide that option).
If you have been leaving messages on the server (most often that would
be an IMAP account), you may need to trim the server side mailboxes by
deleting or moving messages to boxes created just for archive use.
