Hi,
I’ve been using Eudora 7.0.1.0 for many years without hassles and currently running under Windows 10.

For the last couple of days it refuses to send emails, although it can receive them.

I can also send if I go into my account with my Service Provider.

How can I coax Eudora into letting me send again?

Thanks,
David

Do you get any particular error messages?

The email protocol returns a message to the sender if the message can't be delivered. If you are not receiving any problem report emails, I suggest you and the recipients check your spam folders.

I would note that, depending upon the ISP, the SMTP server one passes
messages to may take multiple days before reporting it was unable to
deliver the message (it could attempt an immediate delivery, if that fails
it could schedule a retry an hour later, etc.).

I would suggest enabling full logging ("all bytes" -- may need the
esoteric plug-in), attempting to send some of these problem emails, shut
down Eudora, and examine the log to see if it shows the message contents
being transferred. Transfers with no logged errors means the problem is not
something Eudora can resolve.
