Hi,
unfortunately Eudora is died and I'd like to replace it with a
different software. I'd like tuse Thunderbird or Outlook but I don't
know if it is possible to configute them like Eudora.
I have configured my Eudora in this way:
when I open it, Eudora shows both mailboxes "IN" and "OUT".
"IN" mailbox takes up the higher midfield and "OUT" mailbox below
midfield.
Is it possible to configure Thunderbird or Outlook in this way?
thanks

Really? My version 6.x is still running fine?

Just because there is no new development on it doesn't mean copies
suddenly stop working.

If you like Eudora, Stay with Eudora.
IMHO Penelope (Aka Thundora) is NOT "My Eudora" that I have been using since
V2.x

You did back-up or keep the Installation files?
If you have your original Key (don't post it), It will work on the SAME
version that you had.

If you have a BACKUP of your old Eudora data directory:

Install Eudora normally, Close Eudora,
then copy the Back-up into the Eudora Data Directory (Location varies
depending on O/S version and Eudora version.)
Presto! Eudora is back as it was.

If it is not broken... why change?

I like Eudora. Always have liked it (for about 15 years now). I have
no plans to change to anything else as long as the internet continues
to let it work.

If I was going to change, it would not be to Outlook/Outlook Express.

Here is one direction to consider with Thunderbird.....

I have a completely portable system on a USB stick drive which
includes everything I need to carry with me (including all my
Bookmarks, and settings, personal information, etc).... and all the
software is FREE.
www.portableapps.com
and when you pull the USB stick out... your footprints are gone.

Security, games, office that handles MS Words, Excel, etc.
Audio, graphics, email, browsing, instant messaging, and more, all on
a 2 gig drive.

And here are 51 portable apps which are handy to have....
http://www.freewaremission.com/2008/08/51-essential-programs-for-freeware-only.html

Spybot S&D is looking at a portable version to release with their next
update/upgrade. Lot of softwares are getting on the bandwagon with
portable versions.

Free Agent is not being shipped with it, but check other Portable Apps
sites and you may find it available.

the USB drive is only 2 Gb, with lots (about 50%) of room to spare.

I've never used anything but the usb drive, so I am not aware of any
differences.

There is no such MBOX to PST Converter for Window that is free of cost. Yes, free versions are available but have some limited features over purchased Software. Here I want you to refer MBOX Converter to export your MBOX file into Outlook. The free version of the tool can export some of your emails to PST
