I run Eudora on a linux system using wine. It works great until I run
into a cert problem. When I do the prescribed dance I get an error to
the effect that there is a permission problem updating the cert
database. I have checked the permissions and they look fine.

Can anyone help me get past this error?

Installing the updated SSL library from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hermesmail/files/ may resolve the problem,
without needing to configure a new package. Includes patched SSL DLLs and
new root certificate chain.

Disclaimer: while I have installed that package, I've been using Pandora
for the last year. Junk filter needs improvement, and a few glitches (it
doesn't remember that I have windows expanded).
