I lost Incoming Email access today! EEEK!

Can anybody send me clear instructions to do the Hermes Fixes for certificates etc. I've been using the old way of updating the properties for my address but today everything is stuffed up. No Incoming, No outgoing. I'm a bit desperate!

After I wrote the above, I found the instructions to download and move the files, which I did. However, I am still getting an error message when I try to download my mail. Viz:

Jacq Felis, Logging into POP server, CAPA [05.30.23PM]
SSL Negotiation Failed. The connection with the server has been lost. Case [5]

Please help!

Has detailed instructions. This should solve all SSL issues *if* you set up things correctly per the instructions. This is an update of the 2018 "Hermes" SSL fix. This has been discussed often in great detail at the Eudora for Windows <eudora-***@hades.listmoms.net> list.

Thankyou very much geo! I dont know why the fix I got from the Hermes website did not work, but the one you suggested certainly did. Not only that but my outgoing emails are now working properly as well.

Two other points - your link to listmoms did not work. It just opens a new My groups page where I have only https://groups.google.com/g/comp.mail.eudora.ms-windows. I dont know how to join another group because I have been on here since 2014 and I cant remember how I joined this group.

Secondly, I have been thinking about eventually moving to HermesMail. I get the feeling that It is not quite ready, but then again their website says they are done. Is anyone on here using Hermes, If so how do you find it working for you?

If you forget to do this, your message will be ignored by the server -- that is, you will not receive a bounce, an error, or any other form of reply. FYI, the word "Gazelle" is case independent -- it may appear as "Gazelle," "gazelle," "gaZEllE," etc. It does not matter where the word appears on the Subject line.
