Seek list of special characters for Eudora mailbox names

Is there a complete list of special characters that can be used for
Eudora mailbox names?

I notice some common special characters, such as ampersand ("&") can
not be used. Which ones can?

I notice some common special characters, such as ampersand ("&") can
not be used. Which ones can?

Since "mailbox names" map 1:1 to Windows file system path names,
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/naming-a-file is
applicable. Not sure why it objects to "&" -- possibly a restriction for
IMAP mailboxes as those map to boxes on the server itself, or it was meant
as some sort of escape character.
