Import failure from Netscape (Thunderbird)

I'm evaluating Eudora 5.2.1. The import
of my mail and address book from Mozilla
Thunderbird had mixed results.

Address book was output as an .LDIF from
T-bird. Mail was in Nescape MBOX files.

I used Eudora's Netscape import wizard,
specified the pref.js and .ldif files.
Almost everything imported OK, but
the address book only had a few entries
and the last folder (last in the on-screen
location, at any rate) imported only about
4 of 150 files.

All other folders (about 30) appear to
have imported correctly. Verified that
only the one folder has missing content.

Any clue as to what this Eudora newbie
may have fouled up?

Best way to remedy the email problem
and get that last folder imported?

Don't really care too much about the
address book.

make a copy of the folder (the one WITHOUT the extension), rename it
with a .mbx extension and copy it into your Eudora folder. When you open
Eudora you should see it there. You can just do this with all
Netscape/Mozilla mailboxes BTW.
Thanks for the tip. Didn't work for me.

Turns out that the problem was Thunderbird,
not Eudora. I went back to my Outlook
Express installation, (source of T-bird
configuration,) imported the OE Address
Book and Mail into Eudora and used the
original OE stuff to fixup the failed
T-bird imports. All is well. Easy.

After spending about a week with Eudora
5.2.1, I wish I had switched years ago.
Nice product and nice newsgroup.

Looking forward to 6. (Maybe 6.01 ;-)
